This HP J4858C compatible SFP transceiver provides 1000Base-SX Gigabit Ethernet and Fiber Channel connectivity. It supports 550m transmission distance at 850nm over multimode fiber. It fully complies with the Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and can be used on the MSA compliant networking equipment. This module is programmed and tested to ensure working with HP Ethernet Switches, Ethernet Routers, Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Media Converters. It provides an ideal cost-effective replacement to HP ProCurve Gigabit-SX-LC Mini-GBIC (J4858C), which provides a reliable compatible solution for system integrator, distributors and end-users in network infrastructure and fiber cabling.
